Asanebo The family-run Asanebo offers simple but homely Japanese-style accommodation a 7-minute walk from Kawayu Onsen Train Station. Home-cooked meals are served, and guided tours, canoeing and horse-riding can be arranged. The property is completely non-smoking.Mount Io is a 15-minute walk away from the inn. Mashu Lake Observatory and Ainu Kotan Village can be reached within a 20-minute drive. Free on-site parking is provided.Guests at Asanebo Inn sleep on a traditional tatami (woven-straw) floor in Japanese futon bedding. Rooms are heated, and shared toilets are available. For bathing, guests must use the public hot spring baths a 2-minute walk away (free tickets provided by the inn).The inn has a library of Japanese comics (manga), a TV and a free-use internet PC at the common area where guests can socialise with other guests. A coin launderette is available for use.A Japanese-style breakfast and dinner are offered. Dinner is served strictly at 18:00, and breakfast starts at 07:00.
